The PADI Wreck Diver Course at Aegir Diving School is a great way to explore the many sunken ships and wrecks that have become part of the seabed. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced diver, this exciting course will teach you all the necessary skills to safely navigate underwater wreckage. During the course, students will learn how to properly plan, organize and conduct dives on shallow and deep-water shipwrecks. Students will also receive instruction on special equipment requirements for wreck diving, such as lines and reels to safely explore these submerged sites without damaging them or endangering themselves.

At Aegir Diving School, our professionally trained instructors provide hands-on experience while guiding you through each PADI Wreck Diver Course phase.

Prerequisites: What You Need for the wreck diver course

If you are considering taking the PADI Wreck Diver Course from Aegir Diving School, then there are specific prerequisites that students must meet. The first requirement is that you must be at least 15 years of age to take the course and be a valid Adventure diver. This course also requires a minimum of 24 hours of instruction, including E-learning time and pool or confined open water dives.

During this class, divers will learn how to safely explore wrecks while avoiding hazards such as sharp objects and entanglement risks. Participants will also learn how to safely penetrate wrecks and become familiar with limited visibility techniques such as touch orientation and natural navigation.

The PADI Wreck Diver Course at Aegir Diving School is a great way to learn and explore the underwater world. The course includes knowledge development, four wreck dives, and an optional fifth dive. Students will begin by learning about safety considerations for diving in wrecks, including buoyancy control, emergency procedures, line-handling techniques, and more. Then they will move on to planning and applying their knowledge to complete the dives successfully.

During these dives, students will observe marine life living inside the wreckage while considering the importance of conserving the environment they are exploring. They will also gain experience navigating tight spaces while following all safety guidelines. Finally, on their fourth dive, they will use penetration lines or a reel while exploring inside a wreck if conditions allow it.
