Prerequisites: What are the expectations?
The PADI Rescue Diver Course is the second highest level of recreational diver training. It is designed to help divers become more aware and responsive to potential problems in the water. Enrolling in this course requires meeting particular prerequisites before signing up.
First and foremost, students must possess a valid Adventure Diver/Junior Adventure Diver (or qualifying certification) with completed Underwater Navigation Dive; EFR Primary and Secondary Care training (or qualifying training) within 24 months and be at least 15 years old. Aspiring rescue divers should also have knowledge of self-rescue techniques as you will be expected to use them throughout the course. Additionally, having recent experience with diving is essential as it will give you more confidence when practicing new skills.
