How Does It Work?

The open water certification course is two parts.

The first part is the e-learning which is self paced. It can be done on your computer, cell phone, or tablet. Once you sign up for the e-learning, you will have an instructor reach out to you weekly to check on your status and help provide guidance and encouragement as you are going through the training modules.

Once you get close to finishing your bookwork, you will schedule a time to go put it into practice! You will do two full days’ worth of training in a heated pool and Central Florida springs. Your instructor will talk to you about options for locations. If you have any concerns about needing additional training time, those options can be discussed and worked out as well. Our goal is for every student to be successful, regardless of the time or work they may need to be successful.

When this course comes to an end, you will earn your PADI Open Water Diver certification and you will have confidence in your ability to handle your scuba kit, handle common problems you may run into, maintain your buoyancy, and be respectful to marine life!
